Hello from Iowa,

We are in the process of designing a UL508A control panel and the spec calls for an outlet with an in-use cover. We need to maintain a type 3R rating (we could go up it to a 4 or 4x if this was our only choice). We've done this design before with the parts listed below and while everything is UL listed the nipple and sealing washer don't have a 3R listing so I don't think this would technically pass inspection. I can find all sorts of bulkhead receptacles that would work but none have an in-use cover. Any suggestions on an all in one package or a way to mate the receptacle box to the control panel that would still maintain my rating? Thanks for your help!

Eaton - TWRSGF20W (20a GFCI)
Hubell - WP26E (In use cover)
Raco - 5320-0 (Weatherproof single gang box)
Raco - 1202 (sealing washer)
Conduit Steel - 5529 (standard 1/2" close nipple)

The nipple is just conduit so does not need a 3R rating. It is inherent to being conduit.

If the sealing washer is contained within the weatherproof housing, the whole opening is closed by the weatherproof housing so the sealing washer is not even needed.
