ultra power powergrid pgx-500

When I plug in my power grid a calibrates makes a bunch of sounds ticking clicking repeatedly and the lights on the back the red LEDs are flashing and the numbers and late indicators on the front digital screen are flashing and numbers are changing it does stop then when I plug stuff into it it'll do the same thing again it'll stop but not for a while and then when I have my TV Soundbar Subwoofer and Xbox plugged into it it'll run for a while and then it'll just keep doing the same thing is this normal or is there something wrong with the unit and how do I fix it
