Has anyone ever run across a clean way to feed power to kitchen undercabinet lighting ?

A standard receptacle is too large to mount in the 1 1/2" recess area under a wall cabinet unless a cabinet skirt molding is used.

I've heard of hiding a receptacle inside the cabinet, but is there any other way to do this and still be code compliant ?

We hard wire all under cab.lights,S.O.P.is to set a J box either behind fridge,or range or in a closet nearest to the area then feed each u/c/l with one piece of nm rather than loop them. This makes it so much easier to trim out, especially with the smaller halogen fixtures.
