Under cabinet lighting

My current project calls for 120 volt fluorescent under cabinet lighting. There is a receptacle mounted inside the enclosed cabinet above and the intent of the architect was to drill through the bottom of the cabinet and plug the light into it. The cord is a factory molded end cord, but my question is whether or not this is in violation because of possible abuse to the cord laying in the bottom of the cabinet?

As Stickboy mentioned this would not be a violation of 400.8(2) drilling thru cabinets for a cord. As far as a cord being damaged in a cabinet concern, better than NMB. A cord can take a lickin' due to the outer covering.
