120 volt units with 5-15 cord cap, probably 2000 watts max many maybe only 1500. Is that close enough?

Any other voltage or no cord pre-installed - could be all over the place on kW ratings.

I'm doing as-builds for an industrial facility I'm finishing up. Owner had me add an outlet under the sink in the breakroom for an insta hot, EMT with pull string back to panel. Cabinets install next week, maybe plumbing also.

Just looking for a figure to plug into revised load calc.

I think there may be A lot of different kinds of point of use water heaters. Different brand's, different wattages exet. In my experience, a 20 amp 120 volt dedicated circuit is typical. Roughly 1.8 KVA

Im looking at the same thing for the last few days. I have a customer with a 8Kw/ 40a/208v heater feeding a sink and dishwasher. It is burned out with no readily accessible disconnect. The employees are complaining about it was too hot. I found a nice little one 20 amp 120 volt with a PRV, 3kva. I think this one was installed because it was a leftover from another job. $100 part vs $300 part. :slaphead:

Looking at the home type to make tea or coffee, several of insinkerator's units are 6.25A.

What I've seen is a "3-way" switch for the garbage disposer which powers the heater when the disposer is not on.
