undercarpet wiring (FCC)

I have undercarpet wiring issues, I think.
FCC is terminated in manufacturers J-box which is fed from a GFCI receptacle. The employees turn this circuit off each night (conserve energy) and on again each morning. Some mornings (random) they have to reset the GFCI. They have also stated the GFCI must be reset during the day, again randomly.
I have 2 such installations and they both randomly trip the GFCI.
1st question: Does FCC require GFCI protection. It's located in a small museum feeding art displays?
2nd question: has anyone had related issues?

Thanks!

If a normal circuit breaker was tripping would your first thought be to bypass it or instal a larger breaker?

The GFCI is very likely tripping for a reason that should be found.
