Underground Conduit for Residence

Hello! I am looking around the NEC for any information regarding if conduit is required for a buried electrical line used for a residence. Could someone point me in the right direction? I can provide more information if needed. Thank you!

No requirement for conduit unless under driveways etc however it may be in the best interest to run conduit. T300.5

I will add that the NEC may have nothing to do with it if these are utility conductors supplying the home.

Thanks for the swift replies! Just to address iwire's reply, my question pertained to the rewiring of a lamp post in a residence's front yard. Currently the existing wiring is a UF line without conduit, but that was put into place decades ago, so I wasn't sure if the code called for any conduit now. I will look to T300.5 for any additional information. Thanks again!
