Underground Generator conductors

I have a job installing a 24kw generator about fifty feet from the side of the house and meter. What is the best wiring method for this installation? I suppose I could use SEU for direct burial but what about the control cable? Or would PVC be best with all of the conductors in the same raceway?

Also, will I need a separate trench for the gas line?

Definitely PVC, and possibly two, even though we're now allowed to put the control wiring in the feeder conduit.

That's totally up to the gas contractor, but I'd separate it.

Generac does it all the time, but Kohler will not warranty the generator if the control wires are not in seperate conduits.

Generac used to specify a separate conduit for the control wires, even though they shared a flex from the genny to a separate box.
