Can I run a 3" RNMC with water pipe 8" in the same trench?

Welcome to the forum.

There is no NEC section that prohibits installing a water pipe in the same trench as a power conduit.

Some job specs I've seen and some local POCO rules require that if electrical piping shares a ditch with other piping that the electrical be deeper. The idea being it's better to hit a water pipe while digging for electrical than an electric line while digging to repair a water pipe.

are these utility owned services? there may be an easement requriement but other than that as others have stated not a violation but maybe not the best practice.
