A client is planning to construct a small building over an area that has buried medium voltage (25KV) conductors. Conductors are client owned, they are NOT owned by Utility. Not sure if they are in a concrete encased ductbank or just in conduit. We have been told they are buried at a depth of 1' which leads me to believe that at a minimum they were run in IMC or GRC. Trying to figure out if it will be an issue to build over the buried conductors.. We could encase the conduits in concrete if needed, but not sure what is required here... Article 300.50 discusses gives the minimum cover distance as 4" under a building (which we satisfy since we are buried at 1') but I am not sure if that applies for when its an new building over existing conductors. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

P.S. This is my first post on this site so hopefully I did not breach etiquette by posting this question here.
