Underground outdoor branch circuit

Hi I have a outdoor outlet that I feed with a breakers in the house to pvc to the outlet box 50 feet from the house can I just put gfi outlet in the box or do I need to gfci all the wires from the main 20amp breaker from inside the house to meet code for gfi protection ? Does my thwna need gfi protection underground or can my end outlet just be gfi outlet with a normal 20amp breaker ?

How deep is the raceway? See 300.5

Yes, if you look at T 300.5 as Roger stated you will see that PVC need 18" deep. The gfci protection is not for the wire but to protect people when they plug equipment into the outlet. So yes, gfci is only needed at the end
