I took the nec special electrician exam and one of the questions on there was something along the lines of. How often should an underground conduit be grounded, every 50ft, 100ft, 500ft, 1000ft. Im struggling to find the answer in the code book. Can someone help me out, thanks!

There is no rule in the NEC that address that ...at least not as far as I know.

Isn't the conduit grounded just by virtue of to being underground?

You in NYC? Could be a city requirement, they don't go by just the NEC but a modified version and adding their own pieces.

Either you aren't remembering the question correctly or they're asking for something that does not exist in the NEC. Nothing in the NYC amendments to Article 250 address this.
