This is in regard to Art. 680.10 Underground Wiring Location. A homeowner wants to put a recpt. on the far side of a built-in pool for conveince. This will not be for pool equipment.
A nonmetallic conduit put in the same hole used to install the pool will be used but the conduit will only be 3.5 feet horizontally from the pool walls. (I can dig another trench 40 feet long, 18 inches deep at 5 foot horizontally or 1.5 feet from the 3.5 above) Checked with the AHJ and he said as long as the recpt. was Within 10-20 feet of the pool edge when it came out of the groung the install is ok per NEC.
How do guys on this forum interpet this requirement?
Thanks , Mike (Romeo, Mich.)
