Is there an Article that addresses Art 725 or Art 800 burial depth or protetion emerging from ground ??

The only thing I'm seeing is 830.47(C) other than that I would presume the rules on burial apply as they would with standard power lines noted on 300.5

IMO it goes back to manufacturers specs.
some manufacturers say bury at 12” deep.

I‘ve never figured out why though..

I would say in a field as long as its deeper than a bottom plow, and in a yard at least deeper than a good plugger..

Don't forget a garden spade, shovel, or enthusiastic Roto-Tiller. Route of the line should also be marked or photographed while under construction to prevent fun when digging a hole for a new tree...

Here in Oregon they adopt codes statewide and actually include the IEEE C2-2017/NESC along with the NEC and in this oddball case where something is not covered in the NEC but is in the NESC they go by NESC which I believe is 24 inches, it came up on a project once and left a lasting memory.
