underwaterlights for inground pool

To whom it may concern,

I am installing underwaterlights in an inground pool with an existing bonding wire already present. Does it hurt if I installed a grounding electrode for each seperate light as a percautionary cause I dont see this as a code requirement for each light. Will this not be a good idea in the long run? Never seen that done an don't see any reason to do it , just be sure there is an Insulated #8 grd in the niche back to the pool box an of course your grounding from there , #12 insulated from power source or electrical panel.

both lights must be connected to the equipotential grid (essentially bonding all metal parts in and around the pool)
