Ungrounded Circuits in older home

I know it has been here before, but a older home has no ground wire. The homeowner wants to change the outlets out to a grounded plug. What is the easiest way to take care of this.

The easiest is not always the most profitable. If it's accessible, I would pull a new ground wire to each outlet. Charge accordingly.

Tex, as a general rule, I recommend leaving the ungrounded receptacles intact, since most household loads don't require grounding, and instead running new circuits for the few places they're required.

In older homes, typical new loads, such as computers, audio/video equipment, large appliances, etc., fare better on new circuits, and the old circuits are better off without sensitive or large loads added.

Everyone does it differently. I will generally run new cables from the panel and refeed all the old outlets. Although it is legal to add the GFCI or run a separate grounding conductor I have never liked either method.
