Here's my question looking for some info. I have a project with temporary power on site 120/208v. I have dual voltage ballasts "smart Ballasts" can I energize them at 120v then once normal power is established feed them with 277v and will they still work??

I was under the impression that once they are fed they are locked into their voltage does anyone know for sure on this?

Thx

WEB SPARKY,
I went on the web site it's Oshram and it doesn't say one way or the other. It give's you the perception that it wouldn't matter. Somewhere in the back of my mind I believe it's a problem. I just can't remember where I heard it from or where I seen it. I just have it embedded in my head.
The 1-800 number is useless it should be 1-800-give us your money. Typical for all lighting Reps and manufacture's.
You know like when the ballasts go bad and they say there's a warranty then you try and get them to honor it and you might as well be performing rocket science.

Thx
