I come across this all the time with mechanical equipment. LFMC run for 1-6' without being securely fastened or supported. I've been told it doesn't need it (because the connectors hold the weight?). Reading 350.30(A) it looks like it requires securing LFMC within 12" of all fittings & boxes (unless movement required). Is there a section that permits this installation?

exception 2 - but still limits you to only 3 feet for under 1-1/4 inch and smaller. Also says "where flexibility is necessary" though that seems to be overlooked more then it should be. In your photo - I'd say flexibility isn't required, unless either end of the raceways in question do move under normal conditions.

Right, the boxes may vibrate slightly when the HVAC equipment is running, but not enough that you can't secure the conduit.
Also, these lengths are definitely over 3'.
