A local power company still sends out requirements on an up/down Service Loop showing (1) riser, meter, disconnect and then the line and load in a common riser.
Is this not a violation?
I still see when services are being repaired,(When the 40 year old existing services fail) that most everyone is replacing them the same way they came down.
(1) riser, meter, disconnect below and load side wiring going back up the same mast.
(This applies to an overhead service where the meter and disconnect are remote from the structures they are serving).
I've only found (1) so far where they actually installed (1) mast from the meter up and another mast from the disconnect up the pole for the load wiring, but, even then they didnt install an equipment grounding conductor on the load side or in the overhead triplex feeding the structure.
