Strongly sugest you confer with the electrician you should be working under. Why not change the meter? Is it a powerpack?

Are you replacing the panel only, or are you adding more circuits? If you only upgrade your panel, then all you will have is a new panel. If you are adding more circuits or if the existing panel is overloaded, then you should upgrade your entire service. You need to pull a permit, notify your local utility and let them know of the upgrade (in case they need to upgrade their service drop or lateral), and upgrade the entire service to 200A. :)

If you upgraded the pnl to 200 amp,the conductors from the pnl out to the wx head should have been replaced too,if under ground service the wire to the mtr should have been replaced, also the poco should have been notified and a inspection been made either way!!

Meter socket service riser and maybe the grounding electrode conductor and bonding conductor for interior piping systems need to be upgraded.

If you are truly talking about the meter and everything else was replaced then it is the responsibility of the serving electric utility to upgrade the cash register. I assume they have been notified? :D

100 amp service entrance conductors terminated on a 200 amp main breaker, very nice. The money you saved on the electrician will help pay for the fire damage.
