UPS and GFI's

commercial restaurant POS system on UPS and NEC says that all recepticals in a kitchen must be GFI. This will not work. How do we get around this.

Ask your AHJ, they may be able to modify the rules. Or hard wire equipment.

Check the specs on the UPS, it may have intrinsic fault protection.
