Trader Joe’s today has been having issues with one cash register, they have underground feeds that are daisy chained through all sharing an isolated ground. This one is the 2nd to last in the chain, when it was moved the flex was broken and somehow the isolated ground has been broken, I believe but couldn’t verify could only see broken flex. I am getting 36 volts between isolated ground and normal ground after the broken flex but in the panel 0. I was getting a normal steady 120 between hot and neutral. I have heard UPS systems do not like dirty grounds or missing grounds, could someone help me to understand why it would turn the ups off, if that is the issue?
The only other thing I saw was they had it wired as multi wire branch circuits in 3 phase 208/120 but is a single phase 240/120 system, so they have 2 wires from one phase and 1 from the other, but none of the other UPS systems are experiencing any issues.
