URD in Draintile

I have seen this used with direct burial for added protection. I realize it is not listed for this purpose but looking for your opinion. My opinion, the next future excavator on the site will hit it and tear right through it thinking it's just drain tile. Anyone else use it?
 
I have seen it used and I agree with you. However, conduit does not provide protection from a backhoe or a trenching machine. Where our cable is installed, we require RMC or IMC and if it is PVC, it must be rigid and gray. :smile:
 
A backhoe or trenching machine gives no forgiveness. You might install a warning ribbon like you do for service conductors 300.5 (D) (3) they might see that?
