Had inspector want URD for the mobile home feeder. Now my understanding is URD is not even recognized by the NEC as an allowable wireing. Was going to use the USE but not listed to come into the building. I see MHF, but don't see that in that in the NEC. Is that allowed under the code to both feeder and building entry?

some of these cables might have multiple listings. I would check and see if that is the case for the cable you want to use.

Triple rated RHH/RHW-2/USE-2 URD cable is rated at 600V for underground secondary distribution and underground service not exceeding 90ºC. ... Material is constructed with 8000 series compact aluminum conductors and is approved for indoor use per the NEC.

Even Home Depot carries dual-rated feeder cable.
Was looking at the HD cable and while the ticket said URD the wire imprint only said USE-2. My understanding is if it's not imprinted on cable or wire then it's not that type. Just got some today from supply house that they listed as MHF that had imprinted USE-2 RHH RHW, is that the right stuff?

You don't have to do what the inspector wants. If you pipe in pvc it then you can use Thwn-2 or any wire with a "W".

URD is underground wire and is not necessary if you use conduit

USE-2 makes it dual rated. The cable can be used for entry to the MH, but has to be in conduit. There is a stub of 2" PVC coming down from the panel inside, just run your 2" and sweep up or LB into that. I use this cable all the time.
