Hi everyone,

Just looking for some help here to fit a new USB receptacle in my kitchen island. There was an old one installed in this box that was well beyond worn out. It was quite old as well. It was a slip fit in the Raco box.

I buy a new USB receptacle, pull the old one out, wire the new one, and then find out it's too wide for the box. It's wider than the box. What the.....?

I do not want to go to a double gang box, that would look silly. Any suggestions on a different box or some way of fitting this new, slightly wider, receptacle in there? A plastic box has plenty of room, but I don't believe there's any way to bring armored cable into a plastic box.

The picture shows a standard receptacle installed. That was my fallback after I pulled the junky old one out that wouldn't hold on to any plugs anyway. Not what I'm looking for as an end result.

Before everyone types it; yes, I know I could just leave a standard receptacle installed and use the charging cube. Not what I'm after.

Thanks!
