Where corrosion protection is neccesary andd the conduit is threaded in the field, the threads shall be coated with an approved electrically conductive, corrosion-resistant compound.

Seems pretty cut and dry.

I'd be more inclined to ask why wouldn't you use Kopr-Shield, or something like it per scope of the contract?

I work at Owens Corning, recently we had an electrician try to remove a broken pipe out of a Tee with an easy out. He used his chest to apply leverage and hurt or strained himself, which he went out on Workmans comp. For corrective action he was not only written up but now the company is saying that we need to use never seize on all pipe threads.
