Use of TMC gland in C1D2 explosion proof box

I have a NEMA explosion proof enclosure (with sparking devices) in a class 1 Division 2 area. We are using MC cable. The question is: Can we use a TMC gland in this application or do we require a TMCX gland?

I have looked in the Appletion catalog regarding this and, they show we can use a TMC gland in a class 1 division 2 area. But the Appletion TMC gland is also rated for IEC, and it shows this gland can only be used for AEXe 11. The Appleton catalog shows that the TMCX glands can be used in a AEXd 11C (basically this is more or less equivalent to NEMA explosion proof).

Your thoughts and specific references are appreciated.

Here is a web address to Appleton fittings http://www.appletonelec.com/SectionProducts.asp?nSectionID=50

Their is an 8oo number down in the bottom right hand corner after you click on the TMC/TMCX fittings. There tech's can cover all the bases.

My personal experience is that they are a good fitting, and take from 30 minutes to an hour (after doing a few) for typical installation at 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

Theoretically you could use either one; however, only the TMCX is "... upplied complete with epoxy sealing compound." See [2005]501.15(E)(1). For the application you have described, there must be a seal at the termination. The TMCX has an intergral sealing means that complies with 501.15(C).
