Hi everyone. Would anyone know of an outlet that sells used generators? Im looking for a 500 kw with low hours. Insulated and enclosed for colder climate. If anyone knows of an outlet please let me know. Im up from MT.. thanks!

Finding vendors shouldn't be too hard with a quick DDG (or Google/Bing/whatever... I'm not naming names because we buy everything new, and the "We buy used xx!!!" spam is summarily filtered out by my personal email filters) search, but fair warning that unless the genset you select is fully integrated (enclosure/genset/belly tank, like the CAT 351x we prefer for our data centers), odds are you'll be buying the generator from one shop, and the enclosure from somewhere else.

Customer of mine bought a 500 from United Rentals. It was pretty beat up but still runs to this day.

If somebody wants a good used unit don't skip over 600, 750, 800 kw units as well. The bigger they are the harder they are to sell, and the extra fuel consumption may not be a big factor to the end user.
