Does anyone have any contacts or web links for purchasing used tools?
Trying to find a complete used hydraulic KO set 1/2 - 4in with ram & hand pump.
I'm located in Cincinnati, Ohio

Try craigslist.com, you can post or reply to equipment, it can be regional or search nationally, but it doesn't have (I believe) and over-all seek, only
regional areas searches

Try Ebay . go to ebay then under search for type in Hydrulic knock out set .
I have bought several used tools on ebay with one of them a 1/2" thru 2" hydrollic Greenlee ko set.
also try your local pawn shps and if your local pawn shp is a national chain they normally will have a web site listing tools in other cities for sale.

I went for a free attachment chain pipe vice (no stand)
what I got was the free attachment clamp over pipe vice.
that only works up to 2-1/2"... I was bumbed...
& I didn't return it ...

IMO, if you get "good" used tools, you are paying close to new prices. If you are getting a "deal", you may wind up buying new down the road.

I have to say that everything I have brought off E-Bay was exactly what was advertized. You are not going to get a deal on E-Bay. But you can buy a tool in new or like new condition if you take your time. Prices on tools in that condition will normally be 65-80 percent of the new tool. I brought a Greenlee 855 computerized bender in like new condition for just under $5000.00. But then again I paid $200.00 under list price for a Hilti 76 hammer drill to drive ground rods. You have to evaluate to seller and the tool. Never been burned on E-Bay. Sellers seem to covet the feedback score and will do anything to keep the transaction and results positive.

for all the samll and mid sizes ~2" I have moved to hole cutters - much faster and less expensive than a punch kit IMO. Lenox has a set for ~$200. http://www.toolbarn.com/product/lenox/30878-500CHC/ Properly used you can get a few hundred holes each out of them. Other brands have them up to 4"...

IMO, Used tools and test equipment are not worth it. Usually worked hard and put away wet. KO cutters are not that expensive, worth buying new.
