using different companies equipment

Is it against CODE to use a Square D QO outdoor disconnect (Main Breaker ) with a ITE panel ( Main LUG)indoors. I guess the question is is it ok to use different brands as part of a service. I won't be exchanging breakers. I know this might seem like a silly question but I wanted to make sure.

Unless you live in a government controlled country, or the job is being run by the mob, you can use whatever equipment you want wherever you want.

Also, some manufactured products are listed for use with other manufacturer's parts or devices.

You are permitted to use any equipment downstream from any other equipment unless you are coordinating overcurrent protection. You can get into trouble with coordination or with a series rating if you start mixing manufacturers.

Your ITE main lug isn't actually service equipment. It's a panelboard.
