I know I can provide GFCI protection to other receptacles on a circuit using the "feed thru" terminals on a GFCI receptacle, but is it permissible under the NEC to feed thru to other devices such as lighting on the GFCI circuit as well, providing they don't exceed the circuit load? I know I don't need the GFCI protection on the lights, but it would be the cleanest way of doing the circuit. Thanks in advance.

What is the nature of the project? Commercial? Industrial? Residential? In particular, is this your own home?

If you are engaged in a design project as part of your job-related duties, then we can give you all the help you need. If this is for your own home, and if you are planning to run this circuit yourself, then Forum rules prohibit us from answering this type of question.

Would you please clarify your role here?
