Looking at the NEC code 2008, Article382 covers Flatwire, but seems to reflect more on Class 1 wiring GFCI etc. I want to use two conductor flatwire in Hospital environment to power my custom hardware (Complies to UL6095) to run outside a wall using its adhesive back for a better installation look. Flatwire www.taperwire.com can be painted. Atrilce 517.80 says that transformer connected low voltage wire does not have to be ran enclosed raceways.
I just want to connect to a wall wart plugged in the wall and use this to run control power to my hardware 12VDC @<100mA DC.

What code section would this be covered under?
Thanks,
