Do you need permission to use OEM logos on your website showing that you install, supply, service, sell their equipment?

Meaning, is it okay to place the Lutron logo on your website without consent?

I would think so but would like to make s ure.......

Thanks.

If you ask them, they'll give you a release and give you about 100 different verions of their logo in the media pack. I know of a fellow electrician that got a certified letter with a "cease and decist" for using the logo of a radio tpye pet containment manufacturer on his website. If you know about internet 'search bots', you may know that there are at least two that constantly search websites in search of trademark infringement.

Did you ever see them SHOW the competitors product?
I can't say I recall ....

Check the manufactures web site, some have logos you can download for your site, they usually describe how they can be used.

I do remember a SuperBowl commercial a few years back, where a Pepsi truck driver and a Coke truck driver met at a diner. Naturally, each was drinking his product, with both prominently displayed.

A 60's love song (I think it was Get Together) came on the juke-box. One of them said, "Good song," to which the other responded, "Great song." They looked at each other, and each offered the other a taste of his drink.

The Pepsi guy tasted the Coke and passed it back, but the Coke guy wouldn't return the Pepsi after tasting it. The next thing you hear is fighting as a chair comes flying out of a window.
