Hello,

Can meter mains serve as service entrance disconnect switch for distribution XFMR if located immediately on the secondary of the XFMR? I have a distribution XFMR that has service meter with integral circuit breaker connected directly on its secondary side. Per NEC, I need to have a disconnect. was wondering if this setup would be acceptable if all I have on the primary side is pole mounted fuse cut outs of the said XFMR.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
EE

Is the transformer a utility-transformer? If yes, then yes the main CB can be your service disconnect.
