Lets say a disconnect didn't come with a neutral kit. It is 3 phase 480 volt, 800 amp. To get a neutral kit price is through the roof. Is there anything wrong with just getting the Insulated polaris or illsco wire connectors and using those in the disconnect and splicing the neutrals that way? All the neutral does is pass through anyway. Also for a 3 phase, 480 volt 150 amp disconnect, same thing?

Thanks

It's fine. All kinds of discos come without neutral bars.

The only situation where I'd maybe question it is if you are using it as service equipment and need to bond the neutral to the can. If the neutral kit has been removed then maybe you've violated the listing by modifying the equipment and bonding another way. Probably still safe to use a polaris though.
