Shooter, I do not believe there are restrictions to cable tray assemblies that are properly bonded per 392.7 grounding requirements. The bonding must use bolted mechanical connectors or bonding jumpers per 250.102(B) attachment. I have seen rivets used in rack system construction 250.8(A)(8) connections along with bonding jumpers for system grounding. rbj

Is cable tray not a metal wireway? If yes then wouldn't 376.100 (A) (B) fall into play?

Cable tray is not wireway...it is cable tray and is covered by Article 392.
