I have searched everywhere for this, but does the NEC address using a small piece of scrap wire to tie wires up out of the way? I am converting flourescent fixtures to LED; bypass ballast type. There are short pieces of scrap 20 gauge conductor that I could use to loosely tie the wires together, and up out of the way to make it easier to put the cover on from underneath.
Also, must the old ballast be removed, or could I simply leave it in the fixture, being unused? Thanks!
