It looks like they are going to try to sell me a bunch of products? Is this a sells pitch or actual educational opotunity. You never can tell?

Most of these offered by manufacturers require you to get out of them what you can.
Generally I've had good luck getting information for general application. Also, it's good for networking (not the computer kind )
