I'm waiting to here back from a utility contractor but have a very impatient customer.

Anyone have a WAG for what a pole 36' in height about ground would cost to be installed. It's to mount a (temporarily) point to point wireless device?

This is in MA and it would be in a contraction site with no obstacles

Sorry I can't answer your question but I can recommend Island Light & Power if you don't have luck with who you asked for a price.

There are many variables.
Wood or concrete or metal
direct burial or on a base
does it need power, or just a pole?
are any permits required? environmental, airspace notification, etc...

You can price poles online. Add in the shipping charge and take that and double or triple it.
Figure 12' in the ground if direct burial.

What type of pole and where in MA? Do you already have the pole?

12' in the ground seems a little deep to me. In the Midwest we go 10% of the height of the pole, plus 2'. That would mean your pole should be buried 5'6" deep. Look for a 42' pole.

Yes, 10% plus 2 feet is the standard. There are exceptions of course. Wood poles come in 5' length increments, so this would need to be a 45. Pole cost is probably only a couple of hundred bucks. But OP asked for a WAG to install. I'll go with a thousand minimum. Anything significantly less would be a real surprise.

We have soft ground (beach sand or swamp) and a design wind speed about 100mph faster than y'all have up there.
Thanks for noting the differences.

No I need one that will support up to 25 lbs of equipment at a height of 30-35' feet, just needs to last 12 months.

Chestnut hill.

It's to go on a construction site without overhead obstructions and won't be higher than the surrounding trees

There are job site temp utility poles less than 100' feet away they are just regular distribution poles, so I'm guessing that type will do

Impatient customers get ballpark(higher) prices. Organized and patient customers give me time to shop around and get them the best prices.

I'm guessing you end up somewhere between $1000-2000.
