What are the main properties I need to consider for a dual service---
(I know this is not something to try at home)-- but the owner wants
on-site "micro turbine(s)" to use for supplying about 1200 amps (with
future provisions for double this capacity)--
at 208/120-3-4W service into the electrical room in a proposed building.
References to printed resources would also be welcomed.
 
First stop I would make is the web site of the utility company that would be involved.

Look for a download usually called 'Interconnection requirements' or something like that. It will lay out what they will require for safety of their workers.

We have installed some 400 KW fuel cells and coming up with a solution that meets power company requirements was a bit of a trick for the engineer.
