Utility Substation Hazards

Is there documentation or a recorded study of living or working under/near an electrical utility substation being hazardous to your health?

Re: Utility Substation Hazards

I read the report from your link, zog, and I reaffirm the "no" from MJJBEE. All of the statements in that report confirm that there is no evidence of a link between electrical power lines and health.

I too would consider an alteration of DNA to be ungood. But what leads you to suspect that living under a power line can have that impact on you?

Let me make what I truly believe to be a completely true and accurate statement. Here it is: "No study has yet shown a link between eating unbuttered wheat toast and contracting stomach cancer." Now, are you going to stop eating unbuttered wheat toast (assuming you have ever done so)? Do you now have a concern that eating unbuttered wheat toast might cause an alteration in your DNA?

Do you interpret the statements of "we found no link" to really mean that "we know there is a link, but we just haven't been able to prove it yet"? I don't. I interpret such statements to mean, "we looked for a link, and did not find one." If anything, this gives me greater confidence that there is no link.

Re: Utility Substation Hazards

This is one area of the electrical phenomenon that I have not devoted much time or research into learning more about it, though I would like to.

I believe Karl Riley (Member #5) would be the person to obatin information on this topic. I am ceratin he can refute and all out "no" response.

There are people who sincerely believe that W personally arranged for the events on 9/11. They make a lot of money off fooling the unwary with their supposed evidence.

Point is that belief and actual evidence are not the same thing.

I stand by my statment. There is not any proven correlation between living near power lines and cancer.(not that I don't think it's possible) I would be worried more about other things in your enviroment then living near a substation.

I forgot to say I was just answering his question is there a study that has proven a link between the two? The answer is NO
