The NEC defines 180VA for general purpose NEMA 5-20R, I am working on a lab with general use NEMA 6-20R. What VA do I need to apply in my calculations? No specific equipment is designated at this time for the receptacles.

Looks like in 2017 220.14 (L) Specifies That if other outlets not covered in 22014 (A) through (k) you take them at 180 VA Per outlet. So unless you know the Equipment, and that looks like your don't seems you just use 180va.
You say no "Specific equipment" do you know what might possibly be plugged in?

Its on a workbench and the owner requested it. "Future" use. There are other outlets, including 6-20R on the workbench with equipment and their full loads are accounted for.
