The reason the river is a violation is because I had to leave 72 deg. weather to return to 98 deg steam bath.

What type of cable or is that SO cord in the first few pics???

Yes, they ran it every where for the lighting. The pics. dont show it all they mostly used screw type mc connectors to come out of the 4x4's with to the wire mold boxes with no connector. the wire mold box is what the fixture is mounted to. The thing is this the shops that have these overhangs are not much over one year old. This is the original installation.
The mc cable you see must have been done by someone else it feed the signs on the front.

It may not be code, but I just don't see how the cord is a safety issue.

I am not sure why you think the outlet coming out of the ground is a code violation. Perhaps you can enlighten me. I don't deal with that kind of thing much.

I don't think the damaged PVC is a code violation so much as damage, unless it was schedule 40 and maybe should have been sch 80. couldn't really tell from the picture.

It doesn't have a cover.

You are right it is not code compliant, I did not say it was a safety issue although it not being compliant with code dose make it a safety issue. My point was this was all new construction not something that had been added years later.

C3PO handled that one.

This was at a atm in a parking lot. "Protection from physical damage" there were no bolards or bumpers to stop cars from hitting the pole
