This is frequently done in medical imaging installations (MRI's).
The cable tray usually has a divider to separate the electric from the gas & vacuum lines.
I sometimes wonder if these installations are still covered under the NEC, or if the cable tray becomes more a part of the medical imaging equipment, and is covered by the equipment listing and design.
If its covered by the NEC, I think the divider makes it compliant. If its covered by the equipment listing, I'm not sure the divider is even required.
The manufacturer's instructions often say "Provide divider if required by local codes."
