vapor proof ressesed fixture

qick question. a hi-hat in the shower , what makes it a vapor proof is the trim? or there is a vapor proof can ?,I know there are insulated and non insulated ceilig cans.

Everytime I do a can in the shower it's a typical Damp rated (which most cans are I believe) can. The trim is what makes it weatherproof. IC and non-IC cans deal with insulation.

normally the trim, however there are some that are listed for PAR type lamps and don't require the "sealed" trim to be wet location listed.

yep normally the trim that makes it usable in the shower..

Is the hi-hat subject to shower spray? If not a damp location fixture will do.
