My wife is building a pond and we just got the pumps up and running. They're variable speed (presumably VFD) and each is connected to its own circuit and breaker. I've been doing some research and I see this can be a common problem. This thread was particularly enlightening... https://forums.mikeholt.com/threads/pentair-pool-pump-gfci-trips.136417.
I've swapped out the breakers to non-GFCI parts for the moment but that's not a permanent solution. Before I try different breakers I'd like to try a RF choke. I'm looking for feedback on where and how to install them. It seems like a ferrite ring on the pump ground with the wire wrapped though the ring a few times is the place to start but I've also seen people talk about putting beads on the hot and neutral at the breaker or a core around the power cord for the pump.
Thanks in advance!
