Some door camera and lock systems require it, although I doubt they actually use that much. I think it's just their idea of overkill to avoid engineering...16 amp output.....what is the end use
“Overkill to avoid engineering.” I’m stealing that! Some door camera and lock systems require it, although I doubt they actually use that much. I think it's just their idea of overkill to avoid engineering...
I got that from a civil engineer. I had a second story added onto a house I owned once, then got laid off before the contractor could finish the deck I had planned coming off of the master bedroom, 14ft above grade. So I had to design and build it myself while I was looking for my next job. I purposely over designed the supporting structure because I couldn't afford a civil engineer at the time. A year or so later I had a party at my house and the deck looked out over a lake where the July 4th fireworks were going to be (Lake Union in Seattle for those who know that area), so there were going to be about 25 people on that deck. During the BBQ part of the day, I learned that one of my wife's coworker's husband was a civil engineer, so I asked him how he felt about having 25 people on that deck. He looked at it and said I probably had twice as much material and bracing as I needed, declaring it as "overkill to avoid engineering"... I've used that ever since.“Overkill to avoid engineering.” I’m stealing that!
