Hello, wondering if there are any control contractors that could give me some "average" unit pricing for VAV control installation?

My scope for each VAV will be as follows- demoing old damper motor and controller then installing new damper motor and controller and installing diff pressure sensor, temperature sensor, MSTP/bus/communication, and connecting new thermostat.

I've discussed this with some guys locally and I've been given number from 750-1200. I have no experience with this so please help if you can. All input is much appreciated!

Yes this was posted in estimating section- no responses so thought I'd put it here.

Are you a fellow building engineer? Are you converting these VAV's over from pneumatic control? AFAIK, the pricing given to you sounds reasonable, we did a bunch of conversions with my previous employer, but we had an in-house crew that did those.

can exisiting wiring be resued?
comm
stat
power

air flow: electronic probe or pneumatic to VAV sensor?
is the sensor installed or do you need to drill/install it?

figure 1/2 hr for the wall sensor
1 hr controller R&R
1 hr damper act R&R
1 hr sensors (airflow and duct temp)

perhaps 4-5 hrs per unit if existing wiring can be reused (including mob-demod, etc.)
plus some materials,s screws, etc.
I assume the control equipment is by others
painting/patching excluded

Based on that list the OP is getting a bargain.

a guy should be able to do 2/day (or more depending on ease of access and motivational level lol) (providing the existing wiring can be reused, as usually the case)
not sure what the going rate for a guy with a truck is, $120/hr?
figure $1000/2 units or $500 each
