VE Cu to Al MC FEEDER

If you were ot VE and go from Cu to Al and it was an all pipe job could you have to VE options for Al cable

Keep pipe but switch the Cu wire to Al wire or Remove the pipe and use Stabiloy MC aluminum feeders and no pipe. I would imagine using no pipe would be a better option.

So you're looking to value engineer and have come up with options:

1-Use conduit and switch from copper to aluminum conductors
2-Use aluminum MC cable and no conduit

Stay with the conduit in the job and just swap the wire to Al.
Don't use any conduit for feeders and use Al Stabiloy MC feeder cable.

Obviously #2 would be a lot less $$$.

I was just trying to give some input in an in office convo,..... I would like to break the 30k year in the near future...
