Is there a safe and simple way to verify ground resistance readings of driven electrodes without having to conduct extensive ground resistance testing? We have many large portable generators on our construction sites that are moved frequentely and testing of the required driven electrode can become unmanageable.

Forgo the testing and ake an extra 5 minutes to drive two rods, maybe?

What I don't like about rod electrode testing is it only gives you a value for that particular point in time. The readings will change with the weather and I mean that literally. What passes today may fail tomorrow or vice versa.

A 3 point test only takes about 30 minutes, how frequently are you moving them?

Just a few questions. Do they really need to be grounded? Have you read 250.34?

And even if they do infact have to be grounded, why the concern over the earth resistance?
